Client Challenge:
The client was using Phantom Buster to scrape LinkedIn profiles and then manually entering the data into Google Sheets. This process was not only time-consuming but also prone to errors, making it difficult for the client to efficiently manage and use the leads they collected.
Solution Overview:
To streamline this process, I developed an automated system that seamlessly transferred the CSV files of leads from Phantom Buster directly into Google Sheets. Here’s how I approached the solution:
- Automating Data Collection with Phantom Buster: I continued using Phantom Buster to scrape LinkedIn profiles, ensuring that the client could still gather the valuable lead information they needed. The data was collected in CSV format, just as the client was used to.
- Downloading the CSV File: Instead of the client manually downloading the CSV file from Phantom Buster, I set up an HTTP module within the automation to automatically download the result as soon as the scraping process was completed. This removed the need for manual intervention, saving time and reducing the risk of errors.
- Filtering and Processing the Data: After downloading the CSV file, I used an iterator within the automation to filter and process the data. This step ensured that only the most relevant leads were retained, organizing the information in a way that was ready for immediate use.
- Inserting Data into Google Sheets: Finally, the filtered and processed data was automatically input into the client’s Google Sheets. This allowed the client to access their leads instantly without the need to manually transfer or organize the information.
Result:
With this automated system in place, the client no longer had to manually manage their lead data. The entire process, from scraping LinkedIn profiles with Phantom Buster to populating Google Sheets, was handled automatically. This not only saved time but also improved the accuracy and consistency of the data, ultimately enhancing the client’s lead management and outreach efforts.
